せいろと一緒に使いたい、アルミ蒸し板

せいろを使うときに、あると便利なのがこのドーナツ型のアルミ蒸し板。

鍋の上に蒸し板を載せ、その上にせいろを置いて使用します。せいろを安定して設置しやすくなるだけでなく、鍋の縁や直火がせいろに直接触れるのを防ぎ、焦げつきのリスクを軽減してくれます。

専用の鍋がなくても、ご家庭にある鍋を使いやすくなるのも嬉しいところ。

使用する鍋は、蒸し板の中央の穴よりも口径が大きく、取っ手などが蒸し板に干渉しないものをお選びください。

鍋の縁と蒸し板の間に隙間ができると、蒸気が逃げてうまく蒸せなくなるため、隙間なく安定して載せられることが大切です。

また、鍋が小さすぎると不安定になる場合があるため、鍋の大きさにもご注意ください。

大きい蒸し板に小さなせいろを載せて使うこともできます。複数のサイズのせいろをお持ちの場合は、大きめの蒸し板をひとつ用意しておくのもおすすめです。

This doughnut-shaped aluminium steamer plate is a practical accessory for everyday steaming.

Simply place the plate over a saucepan or pot, then position your wooden steamer basket on top. It provides a stable base while helping to prevent direct contact between the wooden basket, the rim of the pot and the flame, reducing the risk of scorching.

Another advantage is that you can use your steamer with a suitable pot you already own, without needing a dedicated steamer pot.

Choose a pot with an opening larger than the central hole of the plate, making sure that the handles do not interfere with its placement.

The plate should rest securely against the rim of the pot without gaps, as escaping steam can affect cooking efficiency. Avoid using pots that are too small to support the plate safely.
