岡山県倉敷市で、いぐさを使ったかごを作り続ける須浪亨商店の「びんかご」。

サイズは大・小の2種類。
大には一升瓶が、小にはワインボトルがちょうどよく収まります。

お酒やワインを手土産にするときも、そのまま渡すのとはひと味違う、さりげない贈りものに。かご自体もその後使っていただけるので、包みまで楽しめる手土産になります。

瓶を入れるだけでなく、水筒入れとして使ったり、玉ねぎなど常温保存できる野菜を入れてキッチンに掛けておいたり。暮らしの中で、自由に使い方を見つけていただけます。

しっかりと縒ったいぐさで編まれているため丈夫でありながら、とても軽やか。使い始めの青々とした色合いは、時間とともに少しずつ美しい黄金色へと変化していきます。

A Woven Igusa Bottle Carrier for Everyday Use

Sunami Toru Shoten’s “Bottle Basket” is handwoven from igusa rush.

Available in two sizes: the large fits a 1.8L sake bottle, while the small is just right for a wine bottle. It makes a simple, thoughtful way to carry a bottle as a gift, with the basket itself remaining useful afterward.

Beyond bottles, it can also be used to carry a water bottle or hung in the kitchen to store onions and other vegetables kept at room temperature.

The tightly twisted igusa makes the basket both strong and remarkably lightweight. Its fresh green color gradually changes to a warm golden hue with use, developing a richer character over time.
