TAjiKAの「garden clipper」は、昔のバリカンをモデルにつくられた剪定鋏です。

太い柄と厚みのある刃を持ち、しっかりと力をかけられるつくり。庭仕事のための実用品でありながら、置いてあるだけでも目を引く、独特の存在感があります。

Beauty in the Form of a Tool

With an antique-like patina and the unmistakable traces of handwork, TAjiKA’s garden clipper has a strong, almost sculptural presence.

Inspired by old-fashioned manual hair clippers, it features substantial handles and thick blades designed to take on thicker branches with confidence.

片方の柄には、親指の付け根を受け止める“しゃもじ型”のパーツを。

親指の付け根でぐっと押し込むように力をかけられるため、力を込めやすく、指への負担も少ないつくりになっています。

反対側にはT字型のパーツがあり、指で挟み込むことで、作業中に鋏が手から落ちにくいよう工夫されています。

One handle is fitted with a spoon-shaped support that rests against the base of the thumb. This allows you to apply pressure firmly and comfortably, making it easier to put strength into each cut while reducing strain on the fingers.

The opposite handle has a T-shaped piece that can be held between the fingers to help prevent the clipper from slipping or falling during use.

見た目の面白さだけでなく、実際に使ったときの力の入れやすさまで考えられたかたちです。

Its distinctive form is not merely decorative; every detail has been shaped with practical use in mind.

持ち手には、あえて使い古した型を使って鍛造しています。

さらに、T字型やしゃもじ型の部品も一つひとつ手作業で加工されているため、輪郭や表情にはそれぞれ違いがあります。

均一につくられた工業製品とはまた違う、作り手の手の跡が残る道具です。

The handles are forged using intentionally well-worn molds, while the T-shaped and spoon-shaped fittings are individually finished by hand.

As a result, no two pieces are exactly alike. Slight differences in shape and texture reveal the presence of the maker’s hand and give each tool its own character.

刃先を覆うケースには、ブーツなどにも使われる上質な革を使用。

靴をつくる際に型を抜いたあとに残る革を活かし、靴職人の手によって一つひとつ縫い上げられています。留め具にも革を使用しています。

靴製造で余った革を使用しているため、ケースの色や風合いはその時々で異なります。

The blade cover is made from high-quality leather of the kind used for boots.

Offcuts left over from shoemaking are repurposed and hand-stitched by skilled shoemakers, with leather also used for the fastening detail.

Because the leather is sourced from materials left over from shoe production, the color and texture of the cover will vary from piece to piece and from one production batch to another.

・出荷時にはスムーズに動くように調整していますが、使用を続けられて動きが悪くなってきたと感じられた場合は、ネジの下に少し油を差すとスムーズに動くようになります。もし、それでも直らない場合は、修理の必要な場合がありますので、当店にご連絡下さい。
・太い枝や硬い物など切る場合、無理に力を加えて切ると危険ですので、回し切りをするなどして、怪我には十分ご注意してお使い下さい。また、鋏を落とすことで刃が欠けたり調子が変わりスムーズに動かなくなることがありますので、取り扱いには十分ご注意下さい

修理可能ですが、状態により刃を修理する場合は少し風合いが変わる可能性がありますのでご了承ください。修理に関しては当店にご連絡下さい。 （※費用や修理にかかる時間等は、商品の状態やその時の仕事量により異なりますのでご了承下さい。）
