素材は銅。古くから花器にも使われてきた素材で、水を清潔に保ちやすいといわれています。使うほどに色合いが深まり、少しずつ表情を変えていくのも楽しみのひとつです。

花道家・上野雄次氏の眼差しから生まれたアイデアを、デザイナー・猿山修氏が無駄のない美しいかたちへと昇華し、東京・荒川区の坂見工芸が確かな職人の技で仕上げました。日本の美意識とものづくりの技術が静かに息づく、小さくも豊かな道具です。

Made of copper, a material traditionally used for flower vessels in Japan, it is known for helping keep water fresh. Over time, the copper develops a rich natural patina, allowing each piece to age beautifully with use.

The original concept was inspired by Yuji Ueno, a renowned Japanese floral artist. Designer Osamu Saruyama refined the idea into its elegant, minimalist form, and skilled artisans at Sakami Kogei in Tokyo carefully bring each piece to life. It is a small object that beautifully reflects the harmony of Japanese craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

一見すると端正な佇まいですが、よく見るとわずかに歪みや角を残した造形に気づきます。整いすぎないその表情が、手仕事ならではの温もりを感じさせ、道具やものづくりを愛する方の心をくすぐります。

At first glance, its form appears simple and refined. Look a little closer, however, and you'll notice subtle irregularities and gently angular lines. These intentional imperfections give the piece its quiet character—details that those who appreciate well-crafted objects and thoughtful design will find especially rewarding.
