丹念に積み重ねた緻密な手仕事から生まれた、力強くも温かい器

一つの木塊を丁寧に掘り進めて形を作る「刳物（くりもの）」。あらかじめ組まれた板を使うのではなく、ひとつの木塊から命を削り出すようにして生まれます。

松崎さんの作品は、約20回もの漆を塗り重ねる贅沢な仕上げを施してあります。朱漆の下には黒、黒漆の下には朱を交互に塗り込んでいるため、色の深みを生み出し、歳月を経て表面の漆が磨耗していくと、下層に眠っていた色が少しずつ顔を出し、世界にたった一つしかない表情へと育っていきます。

〈Powerful yet Warm: Vessels Born from Devoted Craftsmanship〉
These pieces are crafted using the kurimono technique, painstakingly hollowed from a single block of wood. Rather than assembling separate boards, each form is "carved into life" from raw timber, resulting in a vessel of singular strength.

Matsuzaki’s work features a luxurious finish of approximately 20 hand-applied lacquer layers. By alternating cinnabar and black, he creates an extraordinary depth. Over years of use, the surface naturally wears to reveal hidden colors beneath, evolving into a one-of-a-kind expression unique to the owner.

こちらは、底に向かって潔く切り立った「胴成（どうなり）」のお椀。
大ぶりな餅が映えるお雑煮など、ハレの日の食卓にもふさわしい力強い佇まいです。すとんと落ちた無垢な造形は、眺めるほどにその凛とした美しさに引き込まれます。

This bowl features a "Donari" shape, characterized by its bold, vertical sides that drop straight to the base.

Its powerful presence makes it a perfect vessel for special occasions, such as serving Ozoni (traditional New Year’s soup) with large, hearty mochi. The clean, minimalist form—carved from a single block of wood—possesses a dignified beauty that captivates the eye from every angle.
